Naturopathy and You 

 A natural approach to health is always desirable. In naturopathy you will find a holistic method of care which recognises the ability of the body to overcome disease.  Treatments aim to support and aid the body to heal itself - in other words we are supporting the organs and systems that support the functions that have been compromised perhaps through lifestyle, genetic predisposition or dietary imbalances.  In this way natural medicine seeks to get to the underlying causes of illness and pain you may currently be experiencing.

What to expect from your Naturopath-

Your consultation

The consultations are comprehensive and you can expect your first visit to take approximately 1hr.  At BetterHealth Naturopathic Clinic all areas of health care concerns are treated thus providing you with personalised, holistic care.

Claudia specialises in digestive complaints, pain management , women's health, weight loss and nervous disorders as well as individualised nutritional advice to include chronic complaints like IBS.

Our clinic provides care for the whole family

Marianne also specialises in pain management, chronic conditions, fertility and general health care as well as cosmetic acupuncture, acupressure, quit smoking programs and fatigue related issues. All general health issues are assessed individually.

During your initial naturopathic  consultation, you will be completing some initial paper work with personal details and you will be tested for heavy metal toxicity, blood type (if you don't know it) a full body composition analysis, tongue and nail analysis.

To ensure a thorough case history, the practitioner may also conduct a brief physical examination and/or iridology assessment to determine the location and nature of the problem.

You will be discussing at length your medical history with your practitioner so it may be useful to bring current medication and recent/relevant test results with you on the day.  We do not employ any invasive testing or any painful methods of treatment.  Your privacy is always respected and you will not be asked to remove your clothing.

Pathology tests may be ordered as needed to include saliva hormone testing and allergy tests, some urine tests and the live blood screening tests are done in house, as well as cholesterol (full lipid test),  candida and Helicobactor Pylori tests.  Normally these tests are done during a second consultation as they may take considerable time to complete. 

Our in-house testing techniques will allow you to see the results unfold before your eyes during the consult which means we are able to discuss them with you at that time and explain to you what they mean and how we propose to rectify any specific imbalances and why.  You will feel involved and in control of your treatment protocol at all times - Our aim is to empower you to take control of your health and enjoy a healthy life, the way you deserve.
