Nutrition is the use of food as medicine.  Due to your current lifestyle, refined food consumption, stress levels and genetic pre-disposition you may not be meeting the nutritional requirements your body has to keep you healthy. 

The naturopathic nutritionist uses fresh whole foods and supplements to re-establish an optimum nutritional status according to your specific needs.

  

Good nutrition is the foundation of good health.  Everyone needs the four basic nutrients - water, carbohydrates, proteins, and fats- as well as vitamins, minerals and other micronutrients. To be able to choose the proper foods, and to better understand why those foods should be supported with supplements, you need to have a clear picture of not only the components of a healthy diet but of your specific body composition and variables that include your current health status and medication you may be on.

We provide our patients with recipes to help them follow their new nutritional programs.  Our recipes are designed to be be quickly, easily.  No unsual ingredients are used so you can easily find them in your local supermarkets at reasonable prices. Don't wait anymore, eat yourself healthy!!!

Your nutritional program - what to expect

  

Before starting you on a nutritional program we will discuss your current health complaints and goals.  In order to decide which is the best nutritional program to begin with for you all the screening tests inclusive in your first consultation are taken into consideration.

A full body composition analysis will be a key component of your nutritional program, in order to establish what your short as well as long term goals should be and how soon they may attained.

  

The program will be paced according to your circumstances although you will receive guidelines to help you move constantly forward.  Regular assessments are made as needed to help you stay on track.  Your nutritionist will discuss how often this should be for you. Forseeable obstacles to your progress are discussed, these could include things such as your willpower, budget, time, etc.

  

Detoxification may be necessary to begin with, followed by either a weight loss or weight gain program, once goals are reached a maintenance program is designed for you to help you maintain your new found health.  You will be taught to eat correctly and make food choices that are both healthy and enjoyable.  Once health, weight or detoxification goals are achieved we will always teach you how to maintain your health with a wellness/lifestyle program.
