Meet the team

Claudia Barreiro & Primi Barreiro

Claudia has a ongoing passion for the scientifically supported application of natural medicine and non-invasive screening health assessments.  Claudia specialises in pain management techniques, digestive complaints and nutritionally guided weight loss and detoxification programs.  

Having experienced surgery and chronic health conditions herself Claudia finds it enriching to help others through the use of natural medicine and non-invasive pain management treatments.  Doctors in the community often refer their patients to Claudia for specific nutritional care and advice relating to digestive complaints, diabetes and allergies.

Claudia is a full accredited member of ATMS (Australian Traditional Medicine Society) and is a registered with most health-funds to include Medibank Private & HBF.  Claudia offers professional and personal health care making sure your personal values are upheld at all times.

Claudia constantly upgrades her qualifications to stay abreast of new developments in heatlh care and regularly attends seminars and medical conventions.  This ongoing learning allows Claudia and her staff to provide you with the most up to date level of health care possible.

 Primi supported Claudia through years of study and helped grow and improve the clinic since opening a home office in 2003 to begin treating those with pain and injury complaints. He now supports our administration, reception and dispensary services in our Joondalup based clinic.  Having experienced first hand the benefits of natural medicine in his life he enjoys working in the clinic and being a part of our team. You will find Primi most helpful with all your enquiries.

Marianne Kornaat

Marianne joined our team in July 2010 as a fully qualified acupuncturist and is a fully accredited member of ANTA (Australian Natural Therapists Association) The style of acupuncture that Marianne brings to our clinic is unique in that it has a Japanese influence.  This style of acupuncture has been chosen by Marianne due to its efficacy in treatment and in the comfort it provides patients, as the needles are finer than those used in chinese acupuncture. With this needles there is no need for very indepth insertion or strong manipulation.

If your individual health condition does not allow an immediate use of acupuncture needles Marianne may use acupressure techniques during your treatment session as well as auricular acupuncture (ear press points).  Both the acupressure and auricular acupuncture present a wonderful alternative to the standard treatment.

Marianne specialises in fertility, general health and chronic complaints as well as pain management and cosmetic acupuncture.
